The staff of Advocates for Children joined Bartholomew County Circuit Court Juvenile Magistrate Heather Mollo at the Bartholomew County Courthouse on Tuesday evening to administer the oath of office to Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers who completed their training in September.
As officers of the court, these volunteer advocates will represent the best interests of local children who have been removed from their homes due to issues of abuse and neglect. Advocates for Children is a non-profit agency which provides trained volunteer advocates for children who have been the victims of abuse and neglect in Bartholomew, Decatur and Jennings counties.
Individuals interested in volunteering or learning more about Advocates for Children can visit the agency’s website at apowerfulvoice.org, or call toll free at 877-604-9402.
