COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Human Rights Commission is accepting nominations for the annual William R. Laws Human Rights Human Rights Award.
Nominees should have made a significant contribution to the community in any area of human equality, including improving relationships, increasing sensitivity, educating residents or creating safeguards to protect the rights of others.
Last year's award was presented to Bob Pitman, executive director of Mill Race Center.
Nominations should be submitted by 5 p.m. Feb. 15 to the Human Rights Commission office in Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St., or by mail or email.
