"2016 — Obama's America," opened in Columbus Aug. 24 at Showplace 12, near Walmart. It is a documentary of Barack Obama filmed in Kenya, Indonesia, Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. It contains interviews with people who have known him and his family in an attempt to explain what is motivating him to do the things he is doing, what his ultimate goals are, and what to expect if he is re-elected. One of those interviewed is his half brother, George, who lives in Nairobi. Another is his grandmother, actually a stepgrandmother. Still another is Barack Obama himself, as he reads from his book, "Dreams From My Father." Included, also, are some of his speeches both before and after attaining office, and a few comments he made when he didn't realize the microphone was on.
The producer is the same man who produced "Schindler's List."
Whether you are a supporter or a critic of the president, I urge all of you to go see it. It would be money well spent.
