SEYMOUR — The Seymour girls basketball team put up an early run against North Harrison, starting the game on a 13-0 run and leaving little room for comfort the rest of the way in its 80-59 win.

The Owls (9-5) managed a 25-11 lead after the first quarter against the Cougars (8-5), with Morgan Ritz scoring 10 points. The Owls led 42-29 at the half.

After leading 62-41 going into the fourth, the Owls gave their starters a breather the rest of the way.

The Owls had five players in double figures, with Ritz scoring 16 points; Kayla Griffin with 15; Mikayla Fee with 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds; Maci Lubker with 12 points; and Emilee Pollmann with 11 points and six rebounds.
