NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence will stop in North Vernon this afternoon to campaign for himself and local candidates.
Pence will be at Lee's Ready Mix & Trucking, 1100 JFK Drive, at 12:45 p.m.
The North Vernon stop is the second of three he has scheduled in south-central Indiana today. Pence will start by attending at rally in Dearborn County for State Rep. Randy Frye, R-Greensburg, at the Dillsboro Civic Center, 9824 Central Avenue, Dillsboro. Pence will leave North Vernon and head to Decatur County to help campaign for local candidates at Greensburg Tool & Die, 1924 N. Montgomery Road.
Pence's stop in North Vernon will be at roughly the same time that his Democratic opponent, John Gregg, is in North Vernon, too.
Gregg will be in North Vernon at the Hoosier Street Grill, 161 Fifth St., at noon. That stop follows a 10:30 a.m. stop in Columbus at Papa's Deli, 412 Washington St.
