Northside fell to Madison 42-32 in boys basketball action Tuesday.
Drew Hasson led scoring for Northside with 20 points, followed by Tyler Thomas and Caleb Pettit each with five.
Central records wins
Central was victorious against St. Bartholomew on Tuesday in a close 35-32 finish.
Brigham Kleinhenz led scoring for Central with 15, while Nick Booth added eight, and Klayton Brummett and K.T. Webb each added five.
Central also defeated Clark Pleasant 30-24. Josh Major had 17 for Central, followed by Riley Smith with four, while Ethan Summa and Klayton Brummett each added three.
Hauser falls to St. Peters
Hauser seventh-grade boys lost a close game at home to St. Peters on Tuesday, 38-34.
Justin Compton led scoring for Hauser with 12, followed by Alex Gross with nine, while Andrew Titus had five.
Jennings routs Austin
Jennings County seventh-grade boys defeated Austin 53-45.
Matt Martin led scoring for Jennings County with 21, followed by Travis Wilson and Kris Garlitch each with nine. The team also downed Southwestern-Hanover 55-43 as Martin scored 19 points, Austin Roscoe added 11, and Travis Wilson had seven.
In other Jennings County action, the eighth-grade boys Blue team dropped a 64-47 decision to St. John’s. Jack Daugherty led Jennings County with 10 points, while Peyton Olds, Nick Perry and Brandon Koors each had eight points.
Central tops Perry
Central seventh-grade girls team defeated Perry Meridian 24-20 on Tuesday.
Kenzie Patberg led the Chargers with 12 points.
Central also beat Jennings County 32-28 as Patberg had seven points, while Kendra Pastrick, Kamryn Cantu and Hannah Herbert each scored six.
Jennings girls earn win
Sidney Gerkin and Mackenzie Byram each scored 11 points to lead the Jennings County eighth-grade girls White team to a 36-29 victory over Central.
Karissa Kinney scored five points, Darian Jarvis had four and Page Magner added three for Jennings County.
The Jennings County seventh-grade girls Blue team dropped a 29-22 decision to Lutheran despite eight points from Jadyn Henry. Brooke Minor scored five points, and Maddie Hill had three points.
Hauser girls drop pair
The Hauser eighth-grade girls team dropped a 45-18 decision to Northside. Kortney Wallace had 10 points for Hauser, while Hailey Lange scored five. The team also lost to Jennings County 29-27 in overtime. Tessa Sims scored 10 points for Hauser, while Ali Hoover had nine.
In Hauser seventh-grade action, the team lost to Northside 38-16 despite 10 points by Sims and then downed Jennings County 38-17 as Sims poured in 18 points, while Sarah Tedder had 11.
Elementary League results
In girls Elementary League action, Richards downed CSA Fodrea 45-20, Schmitt defeated Clifty Creek 38-33, Southside beat Smith 32-16, Rockcreek pulled away from Mount Healthy 34-13 and Parkside triumphed over CSA Lincoln 31-9. In boys play, Richards pulled away from CSA Fodrea 44-19, Schmitt triumphed over Clifty Creek 34-22, Southside downed Smith 41-16, Mount Healthy romped over Rockcreek 40-16 and Parkside defeated CSA Lincoln 31-9.
Jennings County unbeaten
The Jennings County seventh- and eighth-grade wrestling team defeated Hazelwood 69-27.
Scoring pins for Jennings County were Nick South, Victor Manzanares, Hunter Ray, Chase Roll, Cody King, Dalton Ferguson, Connor Johnson, Sam Woolf, Brady Shepherd and Brendan Sutton. Dalton Craig won a 13-2 decision, while Brooks Wathen scored a 15-0 technical fall. The Panthers are 3-0.
Reserve winners were Seth Box, Logan Allen, Braden Gast, Ethan Palmer, Dalton Craig, Connor Johnson, Tony Merry, Patrick Hornaday, Brue Steinert, Josh Rayburn and Sam Woolf.
In other Jennings County news, the team’s reserves had a good showing against Greenwood in a reserve-only tournament.
Box went 3-0, while Price Bennett, Tony Merry, DJ Scully and William Anderson all went 2-0. Logan Allen was 1-0. Jagur Marshall and Braden Gast were 2-1.
Jennings County also defeated Central 87-34. Winners for Jennings County were Craig, South, Manzanares, Xavier Barberis Ray, Palmer, Roll, Brooks Wathen, Brandon Cummings, King, Kaleb South, Anderson, Woolf, Ramon Becker and Sutton.
Northside drops match
Madison topped Northside 76-48.
Winners for Northside were Trenton Taylor, Graham Rooks, Corbin Pollitt, Dawson Combest, Andy Davidson, Wyatt Smith, Eli Chapman and Garrett Daily.
Reserve winners were Hailey Tetrick and Jalin Asher.
