COLUMBUS, Ind. — A year-long drug investigation led to the arrest of two Columbus residents outside a northside Columbus convenience store early Tuesday night.
Derrick Aberitte, 30, and his girlfriend Tenesha Green, 33, are facing preliminary charges of dealing in cocaine.
Both were taken into custody at 7:41 p.m. outside a convenience store at National Road and Central Avenue. The arrests took place after officers witnessed a drug transaction at that location, according to police reports.
Officers also searched the couple's home at 3578 Nicholas Lane follow the arrests. Drug-related paraphernalia was confiscated, according to Columbus Police spokesman Lt. Matt Myers.
Investigators believe Aberitte has sold cocaine in multiple forms to a number of local residents over the past year, Myers said.
