NORTH VERNON — Police arrested six people, including five from North Vernon, on drug-related charges after searching a Jennings County home this morning.
Around 10 a.m., North Vernon Police Department officers served a search warrant at a home at 3090 West County Road 200N, North Vernon, according to a press release from the department.
Patrolman Brandy Blevins, the lead investigating officer, reported that officers had received reports of illegal activity occurring at this address. After a lengthy investigation, a search warrant was obtained, the release said.
While serving the warrant, officers found a meth lab and seized two firearms, an undisclosed amount of money, two anhydrous ammonia tanks and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine. Officers also discovered that there were three children present at the residence, all under age 2, the release said.
