Columbus Police officers are investigating a stabbing that occurred at 1213 Franklin St.

Shortly after 5 p.m. today, officers were sent to the residence where a 59-year-old man told them his common-law wife stabbed him during an argument.

The male has a stab wound to his upper abdomen, according to Lt. Matt Myers, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department.

The injury did not appear to be life threatening and the male refused treatment or transport  to Columbus Regional Hospital.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time, Myers said.

No arrests had been made as of 6:30 p.m. today, Myers said, but the investigation is continuing.
