COLUMBUS, Ind. — Almost a dozen mail boxes were either destroyed or damaged by vandals in a neighborhood southwest of the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, police said.
The incidents occurred either late Wednesday night or early this morning in the 2300 block of Orchard Creek Drive, said Columbus Police spokesman Lt. Matt Myers.
On Tuesday, three other reports of mailbox vandalism, also in the southwest part of Bartholomew County, were reported to the sheriff's department. The damage was likely done by either a baseball bat or some type of pole, Deputy Sheriff Maj. Todd Noblitt said.
