COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police officers kicked in the door of a residence in the 1200 block of Pearl St. Monday evening after witnessing a strangulation in progress.
Sgt. Matt Harris and Patrolman James Scott responded to two separate complaints of loud noises at 1230 Pearl St. Monday evening starting around 11 p.m. Police told a man and woman living at the address to keep the noise down.
While responding to a third complaint at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday, the officers stopped to listen and watch the residence. Through the window, officers could see that a male and female were engaged in a heated argument.
