Rain, rain go away

Follow The Republic:

Recent rain showers in Jennings County have proved to be a big problem for part of North Vernon. Roads are littered with “road closed” signs, and parts of Country Squire Lakes were flooded with the abundance of rain.

Some residents in the back of CSL were evacuated due to flooding and trees falling on their houses.

While these residents settle into temporary places to stay, other residents are trying to fix the damage on their homes.

High winds caused some chaos. Power was lost across parts of Jennings County on Wednesday after the first big storm hit. Some people find themselves securing their belongings as best as they can.

Also, the rain has caused the temperature to drop from the mid-80s to the mid-70s.

The cooldown provides relief to some people, while the rain is a hassle for others.

Whether one is a rain lover or hater, it’s is easy to say this storm was the biggest so far as we near summer.

Hopefully this is the end of the storms for a while, and kids can go back to playing outside in the warm weather and enjoying summertime.
