COLUMBUS, Ind. — Wayne Hanrattie knew he was hearing something special 50 years ago.
The soaring oratory of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. reached a powerful hand inside the emotions of Puerto Rican natives standing nearby and squeezed out tears.
“You could tell right at the beginning,” said Hanrattie. “You could tell people all around were very moved.”
