COLUMBUS, Ind. — The lease-holders of the Scotty's restaurant space in The Commons expect a smooth city approval process and to reopen with a new name in early January.
The last day for Scotty's Burger Joint will be Dec. 31, and the opening of Detour American Grille is expected seven to 10 days later, according to an announcement from MSCB Group, the company which holds the lease to The Commons space. The proposal will be presented to Columbus Redevelopment Commission for approval at a special meeting Jan. 2.
All of the workers at Scotty's who want to stay will be kept for the Detour restaurant, said Mark E. Maddox, co-owner of MSCB Group.
