Rezoning may attract investor to Edinburgh site

Follow The Republic:

Economic development officials and a local Realtor are asking county officials to rezone a 217-acre parcel of vacant land near Edinburgh to make it more marketable to potential investors.

The site is located at the northeast corner of U.S. 31 and Country Road 800N in German Township, just south of the Edinburgh town limits.

Jason Hester, executive director of the Columbus Economic Development Board, said the rezoning would add to the property's attractiveness to a potential investor as there is quick access to U.S. 31 and Interstate 65 and the property would be the only vacant industrial site in the county with rail access.
