Hannah Schroer loves children, so she's pursuing a degree for teaching elementary and special education students.

"Seeing what goes on inside their heads and how they view the world is so interesting to me," she said of her career path Sunday, during the evening gown portion of the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair Queen contest.

The 19-year-old Columbus North graduate and sophomore at Indiana University would be qualified to teach them about the 4-H fair and the queen contest.

After finishing as first runner-up in 2007, Schroer, a 10-year 4-Her, was crowned this year's queen.
