Scotty's owner, management firm, part ways

Follow The Republic:

The management company holding the Scotty's Burger Joint lease in The Commons has ended its relationship with Scotty's parent company.

A Pots & Pans Production, the parent company to the Scotty's Brewhouse restaurants, announced Wednesday night that its contract to operate the Columbus restaurant was terminated by MSCB Group LLC, a company operated by Mert Shipman, who holds the lease with The Commons.

Pots & Pans said in its announcement that it holds no ownership interest or equity in the Columbus location and was simply hired to operate the restaurant. Pots & Pans wrote that it is negotiating with MSCB to keep the location open until at least Dec. 30.
