COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus officials are making plans to soon install a surveillance camera at Ninth Street Park to help combat crime in the neighborhood.
Last year, residents expressed concerns to city officials about criminal activity at the park ranging from vandalism to drug deals and assaults in the park, at the intersection of Ninth and Wilson streets.
Police Chief Jason Maddix reported to the Board of Public Works and Safety this morning that the city has found a location for a security camera at the park and a vendor for the camera.
