Semi, van collision causes I-65 fuel spill

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A semi trailer jackknifed at the entrance to a rest stop along I-65, causing a diesel fuel spill of 50 to 75 gallons after being struck by a mini van which was following behind.

The accident occurred at 6:52 p.m. Monday about four miles north of the State Road 46 exit, Columbus Fire Department spokesman Mike Wilson said.

Two passengers in the mini van were transported to Columbus Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
