Slick conditions result in 40 accidents

Follow The Republic:

Secondary Bartholomew County roads still have some slick spots after snow and freezing temperatures hit the area Thursday night, police said.

However, the county's main roads are in good condition, said Maj. Todd Noblitt, spokesman for the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff's deputies investigated 40 accidents related to the weather conditions between 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. today, Noblitt said. Two resulted in minor personal injuries, 20 resulted in property damage and 18 were slideoffs.
