Small group for older singles starts meeting

Follow The Republic:

A new small group for single adults between the ages of 45 and 60 has begun meeting at 7 p.m. every other Saturday at Community Downtown, 522 Seventh St. in Columbus. Community Downtown is a ministry of Community Church of Columbus.

Columbus’ Meg Grider, 57, launched the group last week after she felt God nudging her to do something for older singles “and those who are single again” through death of a spouse or divorce.

She said has been a part of other small groups with wonderful married couples.

“Even though they were nice, sometimes I felt like a fifth wheel,” she said.

The next meeting will be March 29.
