A Hope woman was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital on Wednesday after she was struck by a plow truck.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., Jenny Compton, 58, of 171 Hauser Court, was walking across the parking lot in front of Snappy Tomato Pizza on State Road 9, north of the Hope Town Square Park, when she was struck, according to her husband, Clyde Compton.
He said his wife was taking empty boxes to a trash bin when the snowplow backed up and accidentally struck her.
Jenny Compton sustained cuts and bruises to her left leg, according to her husband.
“The doctor said she didn’t have any broken bones,” Clyde Compton said. “But they also warned she’s going to feel worse before she gets better.”
Jenny Compton was released after treatment in the hospital’s emergency room.
