State senator wants to prohibit contracts with Planned Parenthood

State Sen. Greg Walker,R-Columbus, said he intends to again file a bill in the 2011 legislative session that would prohibit state agencies from entering into contracts or grants with Planned Parenthood of Indiana.

Walker’s announcement comes following recent reports of a Planned Parenthood staff member using what was described by a youth-led pro-life group called Live Action as “manipulative and medically inaccurate” counseling to convince a young woman to have an abortion. An “undercover” video was released July 20 by Live Action, which said it was the third time a Planned Parenthood staffer had been caught giving women inaccurate information.
