Stop-smoking class begins Thursday


 


An eight-week, community tobacco cessation program, sponsored by Healthy Communities Initiative, Substance Abuse Council, and Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation, begins at 4 p.m. Thursday Sept. 2.

The location will be given to individuals upon registration.

A trained facilitator walks participants through the quitting process. Cost is $40.

Participants who live in Bartholomew County are eligible for free nicotine replacement patches or a prescription medication, valued at over $400, through the Bartholomew County Health Department.
