Nine-year-old Carter Ward slipped on a black Super Bowl XLVI stocking cap from his bed at Columbus Regional Hospital Tuesday, grinning when he learned that he was one of 7,000 U.S. children to receive the special gift this week.
The hat was one of many items packed into a gift basket as part of Super Baskets of Hope, a first-ever service project completed this week in coordination with Super Bowl activities in Indianapolis.
