COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corp. and the Indiana State Teachers union have finally reached an agreement that will give teachers in the district several hundred dollars in increased pay this school year, including a half-percent, across-the-board salary hike.
The new contract takes effect immediately. It was already approved by the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board, a state entity that steps in to help resolve contract disputes when a school system and organized labor hit an impasse.
