(Went 9-1 with five pins, a major decision and three forfeits to help the Bull Dogs to a fourth-place finish in the West Lafayette Harrison Invitational)

“I feel great, and I hope it will carry over to                    (today’s) dual meet                                                      against Franklin Community and hopefully this weekend because we have some tough competition.”

Do you do anything special to                             prepare?

“I think about what moves I’m going to hit or listen to music sometimes. I go through situations in my head and think about how I’m going to get out of those.”

Columbus North sophomore basketball player Ali Patberg

(Tallied 42 points, eight rebounds, six assists and seven blocked shots in wins against Shelbyville and Lawrence North to earn  Indiana Basketball Coach-es Association District 3 girls Player of the Week honors)

Her performance last week:

“It was good, but it was a team effort. I don’t think I did anything that our team didn’t do. We all play hard, and we got the wins.”

Do you do anything special to               prepare?

“Listen to music and prepare mentally”

“My mom (Julie Davis). She always is just positive, and she always is a good support person for me. When things aren’t going good, she’s always there for me.”

“Work hard, set goals for yourself and work to achieve them. Anything is possible if you just work hard.”

“Just be successful as a team first. If the team is successful, and I play like I’m capable of playing, it will all fall in place.”
