Columbus North junior basketball player Evan Henry

(Henry scored 14 points in a 68-52 win over Perry Meridian and 20 points in an 88-58 victory over Madison. He shot five for seven from the field against Perry Meridian and eight for 10 against Madison)

His performance last week:

“I thought my shooting percentage went up. I’ve been putting a lot of time into the gym.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“Every game day I go to Shorty’s for breakfast. Then I wear the same pair of (Purdue) basketball shorts under my sweatpants right up until game time.”

Favorite drink:

“Milk. I drink about three gallons a week.”

Favorite food:

Biscuits and gravy.

Favorite music group:

Lil Wayne.

Favorite book:

“The Greatest Basketball Story Ever Told, The Milan Miracle.”

Favorite class:

“Anatomy. I think about going into the medical field.”

Role model:

“Kobe Bryant and Ray Lewis because of their leadership and their dedication to the game.”

Best advice:

“Don’t let opportunities pass you by.”

Athletics goal:

“To play four years of basketball in college.”

If you could travel anywhere:

“California, because of the beaches and everything; L.A. I would just want to see things.”

Columbus Christian freshman basketball player Tori Robinson

(Robinson scored 39 points and had 29 rebounds in three games to help the Crusaders win the consolation championship of the Allie Jean Hale Tournament at Baptist Academy in Indianapolis. She was named to the all-tournament team.)

Her performance last week:

“I couldn’t have done it without my teammates. They always feed me the ball.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I just listen to music, get into the zone and prepare myself.”

Sweet tea.

Favorite food:

Tacos.

Favorite music group:

Jason Aldean.

Favorite book:

“The Perks of Being a Wallflower” (Stephen Chbosky).

“Bible. We get to talk about God and grow in our faith.”

Role model:

“Coach (Ron) Bridgewater and coach (Todd) Noblitt. They inspire you to always try your hardest. They push you to where you need to go.”

Best advice:

“Work hard and play hard. My dad (Chris Robinson) told me that.”

Athletics goal:

“Just to be the best I can be.”

“Australia, because of all the beaches. It seems nice. My dad has lived there before.”
