Columbus East senior wrestler Rob McKee

McKee won a sectional championship in the 285-pound weight class Saturday at Jennings County High School with a 2-1 overtime victory against Seymour’s Adam Wolka.

His performance last week:

“It was my first time (winning a sectional title) so I am pretty excited. But I am more excited about winning it as a team. I thought I wrestled pretty good.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I go to Mexico Viejo (Mexican restaurant). I went there during football, and ever since I got my license. I have arroz con pollo.”

“Arnold Palmer”

Favorite food:

“Steak”

Favorite music group:

“Avett Brothers”

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”

“Art. I get to throw on the potter’s wheel.”

Columbus North senior basketball player Hanna Ballard

Ballard scored six points in the Class 4A No. 1 Bull Dogs’ 59-44 win against Whiteland and 16 points on senior day in a 59-31 victory against Bloomington North.

Her performance last week:

“I feel like I did well, and so did the team, and all of us worked well together.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“We usually just listen to music and then build up with it during practice. Personally, I don’t really do anything.”

“I like all kinds of music”
