A Nineveh man is dead and a Trafalgar teen is facing a murder charge after what police said started as a fight over a woman.
Nineveh resident Brad Price, 20, died after being shot multiple times Wednesday night.
Police arrested Justen Alain Knapp, 19, 100 Hougland St., Trafalgar, on a charge of murder. Bryan Scott Wooldridge, 21, 5911 Hicks Road, Nineveh, was arrested on a charge of assisting a criminal with murder.
The fatal shooting took place before 7 p.m. in a field on South Hickey Road, about a mile north of the main intersection in Morgantown, Morgan County Sheriff Robert Downey said.
Wooldridge drove Knapp to the scene of the shooting, and also helped him get away and hide the gun, Downey said.
Knapp and Price had a dispute over a woman, Downey said. He declined to comment on specifics, such as whether one of the men was dating the woman, saying it was still early in the investigation.
