COLUMBUS, Ind. — Traffic is backed up for more than 2 miles this afternoon on northbound Interstate 65 near Taylorsville.
The congestion is caused by a 3:30 p.m. accident just north of Taylorsville, said Bartholomew County Deputy Sheriff Maj. Todd Noblitt. While one lane was still open to traffic after the first mishap, a secondary accident is causing more delays, Noblitt said.
Emergency responders hope to have traffic returned to normal shortly after 5 p.m., he added.
Noblitt said there were injuries during the first accident, but no one was hurt during the second mishap, which he described as minor.
