COLUMBUS, Ind. — Traffic on southbound Interstate 65 is back to normal after being backed-up following a mid-morning accident.
At 9:47 a.m., a southbound van overturned into the median between the 76- and 77-mile markers.
First responders reported a woman and her pet trapped inside the van for a short time, but the woman's injuries did not appear to be serious, said Maj. Todd Noblitt of the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.
County animal control personnel were called in to examine and care for the animal.
A male from the van was walking outside the wreckage when emergency crews arrived. The identities of the man and woman have not yet been released.
