Police said they found methamphetamine and prescription pills during a traffic stop, which lead to the arrests of two Bartholomew County residents.

Kristin N. Cross, 30, of Columbus, and Garry E. Robinson Jr., 24, of Elizabethtown, were arrested Monday on preliminary charges of possession of meth, possession of a legend drug and possession of paraphernalia.

Columbus Police Patrolman Julie Quesenbery stopped Cross’ vehicle, in which Robinson was a passenger, at 10:42 a.m. Monday at State Road 11 and Jonathan Moore Pike after seeing it switch lanes and almost cause an accident near Third Street and Central Avenue.

Quesenbery noticed suspicious behavior between the driver and passenger after stopping the vehicle, said Lt. Matt Myers, spokesman for Columbus Police Department. He said a search turned up the drugs and paraphernalia in Cross’ vehicle.

Cross and Robinson were booked into the Bartholomew County jail.
