A Columbus woman and two out-of-town men were arrested at a storage facility southeast of Columbus early Thursday on charges of dealing methamphetamine and other drug-related charges.
Those arrested and their charges are:
Hendrix is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail on a $125,000 bond. Musgrave and Mahan are being held on $105,000 bond each.
At 4:30 a.m. Thursday, deputies on routine patrol spotted two suspicious vehicles in a storage facility near State Road 7 and County Road 250E, said Maj. Todd Noblitt, spokesman for the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Kris Weisner and Deputy Chase Kittinger first thought the three people might be attempting to steal property, but they learned one had legitimately rented two units, Noblitt said.
But evidence at the scene did not support their explanations that they were there early in the morning to retrieve articles, Noblitt said.
The deputies also found their nervous behavior suspicious during questioning, he said.
A search turned up an unspecified amount of crystal methamphetamine and other items frequently used for drug use, Noblitt said. Hendrix also had two types of prescription pills that investigators believe were not prescribed by a physician, Noblitt added.
Bartholomew County Prosecutor Bill Nash will decide what charges, if any, to file.
