COLUMBUS, Ind. — A jury found two men guilty of stealing copper wire and tubing from a hardware store in northern Bartholomew County.
Robert Owen Luetke, 44, of Columbus, and John E. McIntosh, 45, of Hope, were convicted Wednesday of burglary, a Class C felony, and theft, a Class D felony.
The charges stem from an August burglary of the Country Bins store on West Road 550N.
Luetke also was determined to be a habitual offender, which could enhance his sentence.
They face up to three years for the theft conviction and up to eight years for burglary.
Luetke’s sentencing is scheduled for 4 p.m. Jan. 10. McIntosh is scheduled for sentencing at 9:15 a.m. Jan. 24.
