Mark Stewart, 42, will become President of United Way of Bartholomew County March 12. Since 2005, he has served as president of Indianapolis' Southeast Neighborhood Development, fighting poverty with jobs, better housing and other efforts.
Columbus’ Mark Stewart, leader of an Indianapolis community development agency in a tough, poverty-stricken, southeastside neighborhood, has been named the new president of United Way of Bartholomew County.
He will assume his post March 12, replacing Doug Otto, who has served as president for more than 16 years. He will be introduced to the community at the United Way annual meeting April 3.
