Dean’s list
Jordan Beamish, a 2008 graduate of Columbus East High School, was named to the summer semester dean’s list at Ball State University. Beamish is a senior business management and economics major at the university. She is the daughter of James Beamish and Gayle Wooden.
Kelsey Kreps, of Columbus, was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Ball State University. Kreps is a social work major and a student in the university’s honors college.
North grad UIndy’s top teacher
Julie Gahimer, a 1977 graduate of Columbus North High School, has been named 2012 Teacher of the Year at the University of Indianapolis.
Gahimer is a professor of physical therapy at the university and specializes in the rehabilitation of adults with neurological injury and disease. She also received the school’s Distinguished Faculty Alumni Award in 2009.
Gahimer, who now lives in Greenwood, has taught at the university since 1986.
