One of the region's largest employers announced plans this week to hire 38 more engineers.
Valeo, a worldwide auto supplier producing exterior lighting and signaling systems for manufacturers, operates two plants within a quarter-mile of each other on the west side of Seymour.
Its workforce includes employees who commute daily from Columbus, where the company held an open house and technology review Wednesday.
Gavin Warner, regional operations research and development director, said the new jobs will add to the company’s 1,750 employees already in Seymour.
