WellConnect, a health and wellness center in downtown Columbus, is offering a free cooking demonstration at noon Thursday.
The cooking demonstration is an opportunity to learn culinary skills and tips to create delicious, nutritious meals. The demonstration will be led by James Toole, executive chef with Columbus Regional Health, and Patti Wade, Columbus Regional Health registered dietitian.
The cooking demonstration will feature two recipes, blueberry orange muffins and candied walnuts to demonstrate ingredient substitutions and additions to recipes without sacrificing taste and quality. Food samples and recipes will be offered.
The demonstration is conducted at WellConnect, located at the intersection of Third and Washington streets in downtown Columbus. The free cooking demonstrations are offered on the third Thursday of each month at noon as part of the healthy lifestyle and wellness classes offered at WellConnect.
There is no cost or registration needed to attend.
