Two women were arrested Saturday night in Columbus after they shoplifted from the east-side Walmart and ran from police, according to Lt. Matt Myers, spokesman for Columbus Police Department.
Myers said Jenice Joy, 21, of Nashville, was arrested on preliminary charges of theft and resisting law enforcement.
He said Brittany Vincent, 20, of Columbus was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and possession of methamphetamine.
Myers said police pulled over the vehicle Joy and Vincent were driving away in near Waycross Drive and Jolinda Drive, when both women took off running. Police eventually caught them and took them into custody, he said.
