Women’s group benefits police homework aid

Follow The Republic:

The Women’s Giving Circle of Bartholomew County has donated $1,000 to a program in which Columbus police officers help children at Pence Place Apartments with their homework.

Program officials will use the money to buy snacks and supplies.

Columbus police officers, led by Patrolwoman Julie Quesenbery, meet with children for one hour every Monday during the school year at the apartment complex on Pence Street.
