Youth reports abduction attempt in Hope

Follow The Republic:

HOPE, Ind.  — Investigators have few leads concerning what appears to be the attempted abduction of a Hauser Junior-Senior High School student on the south side of Hope, police said.

The seventh-grade male was waiting for his school bus this morning near the intersection of Seminary and Maple streets, said Matt Tallent, interim Hope town marshal.

As the boy waited, a man driving a black sports utility vehicle with dark-tinted windows pulled up next to him, Tallent said.
