Wayne and Marlena Thorpe of East Elmina Drive celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Simmons Winery and Banquet Hall. They also plan a trip in September.
Mr. Thorpe and the former Marlena Sanders were married by the Rev. Gary Bonnell April 11, 1987, at Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Thorpe retired from Cummins Inc. and is employed by Pepsi.
Mrs. Thorpe is a homemaker and was previously employed in the mental health field.
The couple have three children, Brian Thorpe of Columbus, Katrina Martin of Orleans and Matt Gosman of North Vernon. They also have six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and twin granddaughters who are deceased.
