Ellis and Lola Taylor of Edinburgh will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 6 p.m. July 14 at Newbury Point Clubhouse, 501 Hammond Drive, Edinburgh.
Mr. Taylor and the former Lola Hedger were married July 16, 1962, in Marshall, Ill., by Justice of the Peace B.O. Ray.
Mr. Taylor retired from the Indiana Masonic Home, and Mrs. Taylor retired from Columbus Regional Hospital.
The couple have four children, Jeffrey Taylor of Edinburgh, Karen Spurgeon of Brown County, Jason Taylor of Columbus and Johnny Taylor of Columbus. They also have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
