Dennis T. Hankins, 67, of Glendale Drive, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 1:30 a.m. at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Dennis was formerly employed at Rightway Fasteners and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters and enjoyed being with family and playing cards.
Cremation is planned. A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.

Dennis was born in Detroit, MI, on August 11, 1945, the son of William and Mary Tracy Hankins.
He married Wendy S. Mead Green on August 14, 2008.
Survivors include his wife; children, Amy Hankins of Michigan, Heather Hankins of Michigan, Tracy Ritter of Michigan, Dorthea Hankins of Columbus, Dystiny (Eric) Leonard of Columbus and Chris Green of Columbus; brothers, Bill Hankins of California, Mark (Jan) Hankins of Michigan and Joe (Joanne) Nashor of Michigan; sisters, Carol "Mini" (Larry) Smith of Michigan, Christine Hankins of Florida and Mary (Tom) Miyagawa of Michigan; a brother-in-law, Walt Czop of Michigan; five grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Laurie Gustafson and Kathy Czop; and a brother-in-law, Fred Gustafson.
