Carole Ann Market, 80, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Reid Hospital and Health Care in Richmond.
She was born on March 14, 1932, in Richmond, to James S. and Lucille (Reinhardt) Sweet Sr., who preceded her in death. She lived all of her life in the Cambridge City area.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Women's Altar Society. Carole was a retired registered nurse, working at Fayette Regional Hospital for 27 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring nurse and care giver. She also loved traveling, cross stitching and tending to her flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Stanley C. Market; children, Mary Lou Griffey of Fountain City, Linda (Mike) Ulerich of Carmel, Marilynn Diann (Larry) Heltzel of Cambridge City, Donald (Denise) Market of Lake Wylie, SC, Christine (Tim) Brown of Cambridge City, Debbie (Ron) Turner of Milton, and Ginny (Brad) Payne of Pershing; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ellen (Martin) Grossman of Columbus, IN; a brother, James S. Sweet Jr. of Cambridge City; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Cambridge City with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Friends may call at the Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. A rosary service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
