A.Glodene Fleetwood Burch Williams, age 92, of Bloomington, died Monday evening, Aug. 20, 2012, at The Residence at McCormick’s Creek.

Glodene was born January 1, 1920, in Brown County, the daughter of Willard and Olive (Hedrick) Fleetwood. For many years she worked at RCA and at Westinghouse. She later owned and operated the successful restaurant, “Hitchrack” for sixteen years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bloomington.

In 1958 she married her loving husband, John Williams of Bloomington, who survives along with one son and daughter-in-law, John Kenton and Ginger Williams of Russiaville; one grandson, Kenton Williams, also of Russiaville; one sister, Betty Kale of Danville; one sister-in-law, Wilma Fleetwood of Bloomington, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Warren and Verlyn Fleetwood, one sister, Janette Fleetwood,and an infant son.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m.. Thursday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel, in Bloomington, with the Rev. Dr. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
