Betty Jean Gates Woodaman, 61, of Poway, Calif., formerly of Columbus, died June 10, 2012, in Escondido, Calif., following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 17, 1950, to George and Anise Gates.
Mrs. Woodaman was a 1968 graduate of Columbus High School and was a registered nurse working in pharmaceutical research.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Woody" Woodaman; sons, Ryan (Melissa) Woodaman and Luke (Becky) Woodaman; a grandson, Waytt Gates Woodaman; sisters, Pat (Dave) Robertson of Columbus and Carol Maines of Greeley, Colo.; and a brother, Tim (Nata) Gates of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
