Ruby M. Bradley, 88 of Midway Street, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 1:22 p.m. at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Ruby was a homemaker and was formerly employed at G.S. Murphy and Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation and was a member of Garden City Church of Christ.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening and word searches.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with the Rev. Doran F. Chambers officiating.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Garden City Church of Christ or donor's choice of charity.

Ruby was born in Glasgow, Ky., on January 20, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Pearl Proffitt Myers.

She married James M. Bradley on May 14, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1984.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Bradley of Elizabethtown, sisters Bessie Brown of Monticello, Helena Powell of Greenwood, and Havanna Buchanan of Whiteland, and grandsons Christopher L. Bradley and Gregory L. Bradley, both of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, brother Jesse Myers, sister Ruth Heater, and a son, Marvin L. Bradley.
