Viola Katherine Lamb, 89, of North Vernon, died at 7:33 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Lamb is survived by two sons, James (Virginia) Lamb Jr. of Butlerville and Robert Eugene (Teresa) Stout of New Palestine; five daughters, Mary (Steve) Combs of Scipio, Jo A. (Dale) Burton of North Vernon, Pat (David) Issacs of Columbus, Elsie Rush of New Castle, and Paulette (Richard) Hammons of Crothersville; three stepdaughters, Carma (Charlie) Akers of Deputy, JoAnn (Jack) Hanner of Commiskey, and Sharon Ivey of Madison; 29 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lamb; and a son, William F. Lamb.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Ernie Lamb and Kevin Lewis officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Lick Branch Cemetery in Jefferson County.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Lick Branch Cemetery Association or Hospice of Jennings County.
